The deep winter in the arctic, where the last lights sparkle in the snowcrystals, offers a very special experience during the time of Advent and Christmas. We invite you, to visit us in the heart of the famous Lyngenalps, to learn in an intimate and personal way about the Norwegian Christmas.
We will drive with you from Tromsø along the fjords and the mountains to our home. On the drive, you are welcome to listen to our stories about the trolls, the reindeer and the magical Santa Claus. Centuries old tales and traditions brought the people together, when the polar night laid her dark cover over the north of Norway.
This festitive time ignites our joy and happiness. Shinning decorations in the windows and on the houses fill us with a feeling, which we describe in Norway as “koselig”. Everyone feels this in a different way – sometimes on a walk with the snowshoes through the snowy forest or all snuggled up next to the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate and delicious gingerbread cookies.

We open our kitchen for you and offer you to make your very personal and own souvenir. Join us in the fun of decorating your own gingerbread cookies, while we tell you about the culinary specialties and traditions of Christmas in Norway. Maybe after your visit, you will not just take some yummy cookies with you, but some new ideas for traditions in your family.
We serve traditional Christmas porridge during the tour.
